How to ship us parts/firearms
We get many questions regarding sending in parts for work to be performed, especially regarding firearms. Though it is a very simple process it is important that you follow proper procedures to ensure that your parts makes it to us safely and we can get your work completed as quickly as possible. Please follow these steps when sending us work
- Print the Order Form at the bottom of this page, fill it out all applicable fields, and include it in the shipment. If you are sending a firearm(this includes complete guns, stripped frames, AND stripped lowers) include a photocopy of your driver’s license.
- If you are sending a firearms ensure that the chamber and magazine(s) are unloaded. DO NOT ship any ammo.
- All parts should be sent clean and free of excess dirt, oil and grease. If parts are sent without being sufficiently cleaned you will be contacted and informed that in order to perform the work there will be additional charges for cleaning based on time involved at our shop rate of $100/hr. Package your parts securely to prevent damage if it is handled poorly by shippers. Fragile stickers aren’t enough to ensure safe shipping, package it as though you are going to roll it down a flight of stairs and would be confident the contents are safe!
- When shipping in parts, you can use the company of your choice and should insure the parts at any amount you’d like and we recommend adding signature required on it. When shipping a firearm there are a few additional notes to be made. Handguns cannot be shipped by USPS, FedEx, nor UPS. For handgun shipments we recommend using ShipMyGun.com. Long guns can also be shipped using their service OR be sent via USPS and their rules can be found HERE. Avoid putting anything on the box that can identify it’s contents as it may make it a target for theft.
- When we receive your parts we will review the package immediately and call you to let you know all items that we’ve received. We are not responsible for items broken, or lost during transit.
We won’t pay your bond!
In addition to following the process we’ve laid out above please make sure that you’re following ALL federal and local firearm laws during this process. We are a licensed FFL holder so you are able to ship your firearms directly to us. We can ship a provided firearm back to you after work is complete to the address on your license signature required. If you cannot receive it at that address we will have to send it to an FFL local to you and you would have to pay to transfer it back to you via a 4473.
