This was never intended to be a business…

I just wanted my 240sx to be less crappy.

While trying to build a car on a very limited budget, I always hated spray painting parts. It was what I could afford and looked nice freshly done, however, the first time it was touched with dirty hands, exposed to heat, or you spilled something on it, it would likely never be the same. I took great pride in the car I was trying to build and hated seeing parts I worked hard on looking rough because of the lack of durability and stability spray paint offered. I looked into getting things powder coated but, at the time I couldn’t afford to pay someone to powder coat the vast amount of parts I had so I looked into doing it myself.

After some research I decided to give it a shot and picked up a Harbor Freight powder coating kit with a 20% off coupon and a kitchen oven with a broken stove top off Facebook marketplace for $40. I prepped with what I had available at the moment and shot an engine hook in flat black the first night and was mesmerized by the durability of it. I was so excited to start coating all my pieces, and that’s exactly what I did. There was a definite learning curve, I messed up a lot of parts, learned from my mistakes, and extensively researched new methods and techniques. I have always been a detail oriented person that loves puzzles and problem solving and that’s exactly what this new venture brought me.

After coating many of my own parts and a few pieces for close friends, I was approached by someone and asked if I would powder coat a valve cover for them if they paid me. The thought of doing this for money had never crossed my mind, but money meant more car parts so I was in. As word spread I steadily got busier, as I got busier I invested more in my equipment to help refine the process and make the most of my time. As time went on, I set out to learn the Cerakote application process and a shift in hobbies brought me into the world of guns which inspired me to add an 07 FFL to the business.

My Mission

I do not aspire to make a fortune or be the biggest company out there. I do this because I truly enjoy it and take great pride in providing the best quality work I can. I enjoy every project and love helping people make their visions come to life. I appreciate everyone I get the chance to work with and look forward to making new friends along the way. I promise to always act in best interest of the customer and be honest even if it means not making a sale. I strive to be known for quality work and integrity rather than making unnecessary sales to boost a bottom line.

The first piece I ever powder coated.
A mistake at the end of a long night. Had to laugh it off and try to do better the next day.
